To Cass

This thing called sex, this thing called lust;
it's shown as need, as bump and thrust,
with hand on bum and hand on bust.

But in the fire's dim ember glow,
the shadows melt and sharp lines flow.
There bodies meet and passion know.

And I, by light of candle, see
the open lips of my lady
and there lies bliss, and true beauty.

As sweet desire smoulders her gaze
and sets our bodies both ablaze
until we fuse, in love's true praise.

And I with fingers her form trace
As breast to belly, we embrace,
in benison of our gods' grace.
