Book 6 - The Storm Shapers

The night before she’s due at a conference, Izzy spots a strange light from the building at the top of a local hill. It leads to her to magic woven by singers in the woods and a group of Veilrippers engaging in an orgy. She thinks it has nothing to do with her, but finds herself as bound by the events of that night as the participants.

At the conference, she meets a couple who run a magic trade magazine, who have been sent an anonymous piece of sung magic similar to what she heard on the hill. She smells two of the people who were there that night, and is left a calling card by a someone who doesn’t want to be known.

A bad dream leads to the worse realisation that her unborn child has been robbed of something he needs to thrive. She and her mates must find the thief in order to ensure the safety of their whelp and Declan seems intent on pinning the blame on one of Michael's ex-lovers... if only she were alive. When they realise the Seelie Court may have an interest in the matter, they know their only chance is to find the thief before the fay do.

It leads inevitably to the destruction of an elf and the trial of two young magicians. But all of Declan's shapeshifting, Michael's magic and Isolde's judgements can’t trace their unborn's lost protection. To recover that, Isolde must overcome her fears and place her trust in two creatures that are neither Were nor human.
